Healthy Breakfast Sandwich
This Healthy Breakfast Sandwich is exactly what you need to kick off your morning in the right direction! Then, you will stuff this nutrient-dense sandwich filled with whole grain bread (both sides), avocado sectioned off with lean turkey or eggs and of course a sprinkle from the side of baby spinach. With a light seasoning and either one slice of low-fat cheese or tomato, this is an excellent balance of both protein nutrient quality fats while also providing internal carbohydrates. Ingredients
¾ cup liquid egg whites
2 whole-wheat English muffins, split
½ cup baby spinach leaves
2 slices fresh tomato
Directions
Cook egg whites in a nonstick skillet over medium heat until opaque, about 4 minutes.
Toast English muffins. Divide cooked egg whites between 2 muffin bottoms. Top with spinach, 1 tomato slice, and muffin tops.
