Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of rice (200g)
  • 1 cup of coconut milk (240ml)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 cup of water (120ml)
  • 1 tablespoon of coconut oil (15ml)
  • 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder (optional)

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Pot
  • Lid
  • Measuring cups
  • Measuring spoons
  • Spoon

Instructions:

  • Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  • In a pot, combine the rinsed rice, coconut milk, water, salt, and turmeric powder (if using).
  • Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to low heat and cover.
  • Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the rice absorbs the liquid and becomes soft.
  • Remove from heat and let it sit covered for a few minutes before serving.
