Instructions:
- Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a pot, combine the rinsed rice, coconut milk, water, salt, and turmeric powder (if using).
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to low heat and cover.
- Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the rice absorbs the liquid and becomes soft.
- Remove from heat and let it sit covered for a few minutes before serving.
